"A rich, full-bodied wine that is very complex in flavor (toast, vanilla, cherry, roasted nut, plum, red licorice, oak), balanced, and long and a bit tannic on the finish. Warrants further aging. Fine quality."

Tasting Notes

The subtle aromas of dark cherry, cranberry, and pomegranate laced with vanillin oak belie the depth of flavors that follow. The ideally balanced palate presents deep, rich flavors that capture the essence of a perfect Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. Ripe Bing and Rainier cherries merge with raspberry and dried strawberry along with traces of fall spices, sage, forest floor, and licorice. The oak and tannin structure caresses the lush flavors while staying in the background, yet offering its full support. Delicious now, this wine also has wonderful aging potential.
